A sample legal agreement between a performing arts organisation and a Stage Usher for a theatre production.

Performing Arts Organization: [Organization Name]
Stage Usher: [Stage Usher Name]

This contract (“Agreement”) is made and entered into on the date of acceptance by the Stage Usher, and is by and between [Organization Name] (“Producer”), and [Stage Usher Name] (“Stage Usher”).

1. Engagement:
Producer hereby engages Stage Usher to assist with ushering duties for the theatre production of [Production Name] (“Production”). Stage Usher shall be responsible for helping to ensure that the audience has a pleasant and smooth experience at the Production, including but not limited to directing patrons to their seats, handing out programs, and answering any questions or concerns from patrons.
2. Deliverables:
Stage Usher shall be responsible for the following deliverables:
- Attend all performances of the Production as scheduled by Producer
- Direct patrons to their seats and provide them with any necessary assistance
- Hand out programs to patrons
- Answer any questions or concerns from patrons and provide them with information about the Production
- Maintain the cleanliness of the theatre and assist with any necessary cleaning tasks
- Adhere to professional standards of conduct and behavior at all times

Producer shall be responsible for the following deliverables:

- Provide Stage Usher with a schedule of performances in advance
- Pay Stage Usher the agreed upon compensation in a timely manner
1. Timeline:
The term of this Agreement shall commence on [Start Date] and shall continue until [End Date] or completion of the run of the Production, whichever occurs first. Performances shall take place from [Performance Start Date] to [Performance End Date].
2. Compensation:
In consideration for the services to be rendered by Stage Usher hereunder, Producer shall pay Stage Usher the sum of [Compensation Amount] per performance. Payment shall be made on a biweekly basis. Stage Usher shall also be entitled to a share of the net profits of the Production, as determined by Producer in its sole discretion.
3. Termination:
This Agreement may be terminated by either party at any time, for any reason, upon written notice to the other party. In the event of termination by Producer, Stage Usher shall be entitled to receive compensation for all services rendered up to the date of termination.
4. Confidentiality:
Stage Usher shall maintain the confidentiality of all information and materials related to the Production, including but not limited to scripts and production plans. Stage Usher shall not disclose any such information to any third party without the prior written consent of Producer.
5. Indemnification:
Stage Usher shall indemnify and hold harmless Producer, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents, from any and all claims, damages, or expenses arising out of or in connection with Stage Usher’s performance of services under this Agreement.
6. Governing Law:
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of [State].
