This contract (“Agreement”) is made and entered into on the date of acceptance by the director, and is by and between [Organization Name] (“Producer”), and [Director Name] (“Director”).
1. Engagement:
Producer hereby engages director to render services as the director of the theatre production of [Production Name] (“Production”). Director shall be responsible for all aspects of the Production, including but not limited to rehearsals, casting, and technical elements.
2. Deliverables:
Director shall be responsible for the following deliverables:
- Attend all rehearsals as scheduled by Producer
- Attend all performance dates for the Production
- Maintain the confidentiality of all information and materials related to the Production
- Adhere to professional standards of conduct and behavior at all times
Producer shall be responsible for the following deliverables:
- Provide director with the necessary scripts and character descriptions
- Provide director with a performance schedule in advance
- Pay director the agreed upon compensation in a timely manner
1. Timeline:
The term of this Agreement shall commence on [Start Date] and shall continue until [End Date] or completion of the run of the Production, whichever occurs first. Rehearsals shall take place from [Rehearsal Start Date] to [Rehearsal End Date]. Performances shall take place from [Performance Start Date] to [Performance End Date].
2. Compensation:
In consideration for the services to be rendered by director hereunder, Producer shall pay director the sum of [Compensation Amount] per week. Payment shall be made on a biweekly basis. director shall also be entitled to a share of the net profits of the Production, as determined by Producer in its sole discretion.
3. Termination:
This Agreement may be terminated by either party at any time, for any reason, upon written notice to the other party. In the event of termination by Producer, director shall be entitled to receive compensation for all services rendered up to the date of termination.
4. Confidentiality:
Director shall maintain the confidentiality of all information and materials related to the Production, including but not limited to scripts, character descriptions, and production plans. director shall not disclose any such information to any third party without the prior written consent of Producer.
5. Indemnification:
Director shall indemnify and hold harmless Producer, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents, from any and all claims, damages, or expenses arising out of or in connection with director’s performance of services under this Agreement.
6. Governing Law:
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of [State].
