Sample Contract for Production Associate

Performing Arts Organization: [Organization Name]
Production Associate: [Production Associate Name]

This contract (“Agreement”) is made and entered into on the date of acceptance by the Production Associate, and is by and between [Organization Name] (“Producer”), and [Production Associate Name] (“Production Associate”).

1. Engagement:
Producer hereby engages Production Associate to provide production support services for the theatre production of [Production Name] (“Production”). Production Associate shall be responsible for providing assistance to the Production team, including but not limited to coordinating rehearsals, managing schedules, and assisting with logistics.
2. Deliverables:
Production Associate shall be responsible for the following deliverables:
- Attend all rehearsals and production meetings as scheduled by Producer
- Assist with coordinating rehearsals and managing schedules for the Production team
- Assist with logistics, including but not limited to sourcing materials and equipment
- Maintain the confidentiality of all information and materials related to the Production
- Adhere to professional standards of conduct and behavior at all times

Producer shall be responsible for the following deliverables:

- Provide Production Associate with the necessary scripts, production plans, and any other relevant materials
- Provide Production Associate with a schedule of rehearsals and production meetings in advance
- Pay Production Associate the agreed upon compensation in a timely manner
1. Timeline:
The term of this Agreement shall commence on [Start Date] and shall continue until [End Date] or completion of the run of the Production, whichever occurs first. Rehearsals and production meetings shall take place from [Rehearsal Start Date] to [Rehearsal End Date]. Performances shall take place from [Performance Start Date] to [Performance End Date].
2. Compensation:
In consideration for the services to be rendered by Production Associate hereunder, Producer shall pay Production Associate the sum of [Compensation Amount] per week. Payment shall be made on a biweekly basis. Production Associate shall also be entitled to a share of the net profits of the Production, as determined by Producer in its sole discretion.
3. Termination:
This Agreement may be terminated by either party at any time, for any reason, upon written notice to the other party. In the event of termination by Producer, Production Associate shall be entitled to receive compensation for all services rendered up to the date of termination.
4. Confidentiality:
Production Associate shall maintain the confidentiality of all information and materials related to the Production, including but not limited to scripts, production plans, and personnel information. Production Associate shall not disclose any such information to any third party without the prior written consent of Producer.
5. Indemnification:
Production Associate shall indemnify and hold harmless Producer, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents, from any and all claims, damages, or expenses arising out of or in connection with Production Associate’s performance of services under this Agreement.
6. Governing Law:
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of [State].
